COVID SAFETY PROTOCOL
We are fully aware going outside your home can cause concern. We share your concerns. The measures we have taken improve not only your safety but the safety of our team, our families, and the community at large. We have a vested interest in maintaining the highest standards of care. We know when you visit us your mind will be put at ease. Below is a list of some of the new measures we have put into place. Patients themselves are now a big part of preventing transmission. We ask for your cooperation for the safety of everyone.
-
We will ask some screening questions before your appointment and you will be asked those same questions again as well as your temperature checked when you are in the office.
-
You may be asked to wait in your car and call us when you arrive and then wait for a call back to let you know when you can enter the office.
-
Only patients are allowed to come to the office. Please do not bring any companions to the office. They may wait in the car (children under 12 may be accompanied by a parent, if necessary).
-
Bring a mask with you to your appointment. If you have none, one will be provided.
-
We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the clinic. There are more dispensers around the office for you to use as needed.
-
Our team screens daily for Covid and we have our temperatures taken. A temperature above normal or a positive Covid screen will prompt that employee to return home before any patients are seen.
-
Our waiting room will no longer offer magazines or children’s toys since those items are difficult to fully disinfect. We have removed most of the chairs from waiting room to promote limited use and physical distancing.
-
Appointments are being spaced out to allow for physical distancing between patients. That might mean less flexibility for scheduling your appointment, but it will also reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.
-
We will be wearing more protective gear – such as masks, face shields, gowns – than we normally do during your visit.
-
We will be wiping off high touch surfaces throughout the day.
-
Adequate time will be allowed between uses of treatment rooms to allow aerosols to settle and we will continue to do rigorous cleaning and disinfection of the treatment rooms.
-
We have placed portable air purifiers containing medical grade HEPA filters in our treatment rooms to further mitigate any risk, if any.
-
Staff are required to perform hand hygiene before and after every patient interaction and after touching any high touch surfaces.
-
Number of visitors is limited, as are the number of staff at any one time. People are asked to spend the minimum amount of time needed in the office.
-
We have taken steps to provide you contactless checking and payments and to get you in and out as efficiently as possible.
